Palace 3: The Lost Daughter / 宫3: 凤还巢之连城 [2014] [China] Final Ep Recaps

So the last episode aired tonight.

After Lian Cheng shows the scar that Hengtai leave after beat her, Princess XingDai began to trust the real LianCheng. She went to Hengtai but Hengtai still doesn’t believe in her. So she gave up.

The truth is Hengtai has planned something else. It is to draws YuXiu to confess. Hengtai asked the rebel to attacks him and made him unconscious by spraying what’s so called a death powder.

As Hengtai’s lying on the floor, the attacker turns to YuXiu because he just simply wanna get rid Hengtai’s woman as well. But YuXiu said she’s also one of Bu Qing Yun’s people. Therefore it is no need to kill her because she’s also sick with the poison BuQingYun gave her.

At the same moment, YuXiu confess everything that BuQingYun asked her to do as well as harming the queen. Thus she asked the attacker to give her an antidote for the poison. And so…..

Hengtai’s awake. No, actually it was a set up to frame YuXiu to reveal herself. After she revealed everything, Hengtai explain why and what made him do that.

He said that while he’s with her, he can’t sense any feeling of LianCheng. Although time passed, feeling and attitude never changes easily.

He ordered his men to lock YuXiu.

XingDai is watching from afar. After that, XingDai together with Hengtai went to LianCheng’s jail.Unfortunately he found out that Sun He Li had kidnapped her in order to change her with YuXiu.

So they changed. But the faces still the same.

Sun He Li told YuXiu that he didn’t get the medicine for the poison but he gave her a pill to reduce the pain. YuXiu dead after that. Sun He Li after all realize his mistake. He doesn’t intend to help YuXiu in revenge anymore. So death will be the end for her.

He went to Hengtai and LianCheng to ask permission to change the face back. After that he told Hengtai that he will kill himself by drowning in the quicksand.

While waiting for LianCheng to wake up, Hengtai went to XingDai and persuaded her not to become a nun.

A maid came and tells them that LianCheng went away and left a letter.

Hengtai read the letter which LianCheng ask him to be happy with XingDai and hope not to find her anymore. So they lived together.

I thought the story end with Hengtai and XingDai’s moment. Honestly I loved the idea of ending with XingDai. She suffered too much already and she’s quiet smart, so she deserves it.

I missed the first episode. So I didn’t know it was LianCheng who told the story to teens.

As it snowing, the teens ask permission to return home. LianCheng is alone walking on the road. While she’s walking, there’s a man who also walk the same road. They met their eyes. Turn out that man is Hengtai. LianCheng with teary eyes muttering Hengtai’s name and she run to him. They hugged and END.

Palace 3 : The Lost Daughter / 宫3 : 凤还巢之连城 [2014] [China]

In case anyone wishes to watch this drama, I hope they’ll read this spoiler first.

I wrote this because it seems there’s none of the recaps about the ending of this drama despite it has season three and another story, Crazy For Palace. Please forgive my English.

Hengtai from the beginning to the end is the stupidest, silliest, blindest, deafest and dumbest person in the story.

From the beginning I hate the main heroin because she is so silly, too kind, naïve and straightforward (doesn't know how to think wisely and act harshly without thinking the consequences). Plus the ugly hairstyle.

I do hate the princess XingDai at the beginning but as the story goes I fall in love with princess. Actually it’s a pity. She’s so smart but not smart enough to convince Hengtai to see and seek the truth.

Jiang Yi Chen’s death also not worth of all the martial art he did. After all he did jump from the cliff to save himself when the masked voice trick is revealed. But then he just didn’t jump when in fact none of the imperial guard will jump just to make sure he’s dead.

The true antagonist in this story is Tong Yu Xiu. She fell in love with Hengtai at first even invite him to sleep with. However, Hengtai’s brother, Mingxuan read the invitation and went to the met YuXiu with the covered face. He only cover it with thin layer of curtain but YuXiu was the dumbest to be trick, could be she’s all ready to make love with Hengtai. Next morning, she saw the face and chase MingXuan. Later she’s pregnant and married him but then she met YiChen and fall for him.

It’s just to late that YiChen already love LianCheng.

The episode after Princess XingDai’s maid push LianCheng in the icy lakewas too much to endure the stupidty. All of the drug and witch craft (it’s look so) and medicine to change heart?? And the face replacement (plastic surgery) between LianCheng and YuXiu was just to much.

Starting from these episode, Hengtai was clearly the stupidest, silliest, blindest, deafest and dumbest person in the story. He was the cause for everyone’s miseries and tragedy. The list in order is, MingXuan’s death, Mingxuan’s mother jumped in the lake with Princess XingDai & Hengtai’s daughter, and the little princess dead because of drown, Jiang YiChen saves LianCheng who at that moment regained memory but brought her to Dr Sun, which she was given drug to change heart, and YiChen also easily tricked by that. He easily thought LianCheng did loved him. Well in fact we know that LianCheng was madly in love with Hengtai.

And the ultimate face sweeping/or (too lazy to check) change the face between YuXiu ad LianCheng. And Hengtai just to stupid from this moment. He was the first to doubt the LianCheng in front of him, which is YuXiu. XingDai’s found out after countless tricks the weirdness about LianCheng. She told her that LianCheng sang two songs when they were kidnapped but in fact LianCheng only sang a song. She told this to Hengtai but Hengtai just didn’t believe her. So she told this to confirmation to Queen. At this moment Queen and XingDai was YuXiu biggest obstacle to kill Hengtai.

As a result, the queen’s killed by Consort Jing. King was planning something and in order to make that success he sent the queen out of Nanjing to return home. But LianCheng secretly told queen that the king is in danger and return to Nanjing. Which she cut her hair in order her love to the king. One after another King’s planned and events reveal starting from this episode. And Consort Jing’s suicide in front of the king after the king explained that her father actually died to save a woman that is Consort Hui (XingDai’s mother).

Tomorrow, the last episode gonna airs. But as seen in the preview, Hengtai is no doubt the stupidest, silliest, blindest, deafest and dumbest person till the end of story.

It was no longer about the lost daughter, also not about the finding and fight for true love, facing obstacles in order to gain happiness, it just a stupid love story which is the main character Hero and Heroin are the cause of everyone’s miseries and death.
